BAF® Request: BRISBANE-647-IND-Business Model Development Consultants



An existing ICG client is looking for two Business Model Development Consultants to work with their Head of Corporate Strategy to develop new business models for a key division.

The Role

The successful accredited professionals will be accountable for:

  • Working with the client strategy and divisional management to construct two alternative business models for the division;
  • Lead the investigation into a lean, aligned model where the division remains attached to the company but operates autonomously with minimal draw on corporate resources and costs;
  • Construct a blank sheet scenario that addresses current markets and customers, but with a lean start-up perspective that minimizes assets and fixed costs, leverages cloud services and pay-as-you-go enablement;
  • In both scenarios statutory requirements are understood and risk managed appropriately according to industry requirements

Business Model Development Consultants

Our client is reviewing business model options for a key division and seeks to identify industry-leading costs and agility. This land transport business enjoys significant market presence and seeks to rapidly take performance to the next level through a lean, sustainable business model that has the ability to link/manage client supply chains, respond to prevailing market conditions, and scale effectively.

The successful accredited professional will have deep experience in the land transport industry (road, rail, warehousing, logistics) including some knowledge of statutory requirements in Australia. They will have demonstrated track record of lean business model design and implementation, including experience with start-ups and/or significant turn-arounds.

Ideally the affiliates will have significant experience in:


  • 5+ years as a management consultant or industry executive
  • Complex multi-business, multi-geography enterprises
  • Land transport with significant geographic reach and multi-model carriage
  • Economics of land transport options and route dynamics, including financial and management accounting treatment of the business model income statement and balance sheet
  • Contracts management
  • Off-shoring experience

Logistics, Location & Rate

Logistics: The engagement will commence 15 July 2019 and last 8-12 weeks, with potential to extend based on outcomes.

Location: The client location in Brisbane, with a requirement for minimal half time on site with their corporate team.

Offshore candidates will be considered with reasonable travel and accommodation expenses being negotiated with the successful candidates

Rates: Final amount to be negotiated with the client, however, depending on level of experience and seniority, the daily gross rate range for the Business Model Development Consultants will be between AU$2,500 and AU$3,000.

We will review all APT’s and select the best 3. The client will then conduct interviews.
