BAF® Request: MEL-Growth-377- University Sector Growth Strategist


This is a BAF® Best Accredited Professional Forward request. ICG is seeking interested and available professionals to respond to a service request.


An Australian Dual Sector University and new ICG client is looking for a Growth Strategist to work with their Director of Product Management to significantly grow direct government and industry (B2B) revenue by 2020

The Role

The successful accredited professional will be accountable for structuring and managing communications between the following groups:

  • Vice Chancellor and President
  • Head of Partnerships
  • Head of Industry Solutions
  • External parties (multiple)

Growth Strategist

The successful professional will work with the Growth Strategy program leadership to define and evaluate a series of strategic growth options, followed by a go-to-market implementation plan around the preferred path forward.

The successful professional will have deep understanding of the Australian PAVE and  University sector, the current B2B market opportunity, as well as expected areas of growth over next five years. They will also have a demonstrated track record of successfully collaborating with a range of internal and external stakeholders during development of strategic growth plans.

Ideally the accredited professional will have significant experience in:

  • Significant experience (3-5 years) as a management consultant or industry executive
  • Complex multi-business, multi-geography enterprises
  • University sector, with deep understanding of development and distribution of PAVE and HED programs to government and industry
  • Dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Logistics, Process and Rate

Logistics: Melbourne location; Starting late May / early June for 4-6 weeks.

Offshore and interstate candidates will only be considered if they cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

We will review all APT’s and select the best 3 for the client. The client or ICG Account Manager will then conduct interviews and advise of further process.

Rates: Final amount to be negotiated with the client, however, depending on level of experience and seniority, the daily gross rate range for the Growth Strategist would be between $2,000 and $2,500.
