BAF® Request: MELBOURNE-620-Governance and Change Executive



An ICG client is looking to manage the risks around the privacy and cyber security governance of its systems and infrastructure in the face of increasing cyber security threats, specifically related to end-of-life (EOL) Microsoft Server systems, which have been identified as a major risk.

The client strategy to deliver a secure and resilient information service and infrastructure and to be cyber resilient is critical to support their Information Technology Strategy and meet privacy requirements while balancing performance needs that support organisational resilience.

ICG has been asked to find 2-3 highly experienced executives ideally with government experience including key functions such as IT and risk.

The Role

This is a governance and change role, not a project / program management role – ideally this candidate will impact the organisation and drive change while providing risk governance support to the board/c-suite.

The successful senior professionals will be accountable for:


A program of identification and assessment of key business and security risks and by development of remediation plans to protect critical information and systems while achieving compliance with complex and diverse regulations, industry standards, and organisation policies.

Management and transformation

Based on an organisation’s risk appetite and capabilities to manage risk, devise a future forward improvement program through visioning activities that includes business strategy and market analysis, assessments and measurement of cyber capability, gap analyses and planning activities that will result in an optimised and measurable cyber security program.

  • Working 1 on 1 with senior managers or general managers
  • Providing coaching, advice, and input to executives to support their remediation efforts
  • Assisting the client executives to the required risk and governance frameworks
  • Attending senior client meetings as a coach and or active participant
  • Supporting execution where required

The professional will have:

  • Significant proven success as a partner/senior partner/executive (top tier, Big 4 or CIO/COO/CRO) and large program/project experience
  • Significant experience in government or financial services in risk, technology, and operations
  • Ability to work full time or 3-4 days per week of effort

 Starting almost immediately.

Offshore and interstate candidates welcome to apply however, will be responsible for their own travel & accommodation costs.

Rates: Will be by negotiation but will be at the highest industry range commensurate with the seniority and experience required.
