|Overview:||The AFR profiles the four professional associations that have adopted the PoweredbyIA platform led by ICG.Boyd interviews the CEOs of each organisation and synthesizes their reflection on the likely disruptive power of the model to traditional forms of employment-based professional services provision. The article reinforces the unique role that professional associations like ICG play in society and suggests that if they receive a clearer demand signal, then they will be able to do a better job in their role as shapers of the supply curve of professionals. The article makes reference to ICG’s exclusive licence of the technology in the consulting industry globally, and the rapid speed with which ICG has globalised to Melbourne, London, Paris, Toronto and Auckland using the adhocracy-based model.
Finally, in response to Singapore’s efforts to create regional hubs for Professional Associations, reference is made to the ability of this technology to help Australia take a lead in the knowledge economy globally.
