Client

A new ICG client is one of the largest independent life and general insurance companies in Asia with HQ in Hong Kong. The company has a presence in over 18 markets throughout Asia Pacific region. As part of their overall IT transformation strategy, the client is looking for an Enterprise IT Project Manager to lead a new claims transformation project that complement their current activities in digital transformation.

The Role

The Enterprise IT Project Manager will be responsible for all stages of the project including requirements discovery, feasibility analysis, systems development life cycle and the vendor management.

The Project Manager will be part of the digital transformation team and will indirectly manage a number of specialised resources to deliver the above-mentioned initiative.

Accountabilities will include:

• Discovery of the IT requirements for an end-to-end Enterprise claims processing
• Discussions with potential vendors to determine the approximate cost of the proposed system
• Completion of detailed business cases as required
• Detailed functional and technical requirements documentation
• Complete RFP and vendor selection process
• System design, build, testing and implementation over the longer term
• Orchestra vendor, local and offshore resources to overview project/product development in order to deliver successful system implementation on time
• Manages vendors to ensure proper system design, review process to ensure quality of design and code, control risk and cost, and manage vendors SLA performance

• Provide technical vision for mobile application platforms
• Manages user expectation/requirement
• Provide up-to-date project status and recommendation

Enterprise IT Project Manager

The successful Accredited Professional will have:

• Experience in the design and implementation of a corporate wide enterprise IT system
• The ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, an RFP and appropriate vendor selection
• 5-10 years’ experience in a Big 5 consulting firm or equivalent industry experience
• Experience in large transformation and change management programs
• A working knowledge of project/program management tracking tools
• Strong commercial acumen that facilitates the translation of strategy into detailed and practical business outcomes
• The ability to work in complex multi-dimensional environments
• Experience in Insurance claims is highly desired
• Ability to communicate in Cantonese would be preferred.

Logistics, process & Rate

Logistics: Start as soon as practical, full-time role. 12 Month duration. Candidates will need to be able to cover their own cost of living expenses for the duration of the assignment.

Location: Hong Kong

Offshore and Interstate candidates will only be considered if they cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Rate: Final amount to be negotiated with the client based on level of experience and seniority.
