BAF® Request: MEL-467-Retail Operations – Lean / Lean Six Sigma Consultant

An ICG accredited professional is looking for an experienced Lean / Lean Six Sigma consultant with retail operations experience.

The Role

The successful professional will primarily work alongside an ICG accredited professional to support a leading Australian retailer. The client would like to apply Lean Six Sigma to (i) remove tasks that do not add value from its its store operations, and (ii) define a consistent set of processes for all its store teams to use.

The consultant will work alongside the team in one Melbourne store to map and measure existing processes, identify the root causes of issues, and identify and test potential improvements. Towards the end of the work, the revised processes will be used to develop a company-wide training program (to be implemented after the end of this project).

The successful professional will have several years Lean / Lean Six Sigma consulting experience and, ideally, experience in retail operations. They will be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully delivering large scale successful quality, service and cost improvement programmes.

Ideally the accredited professional will have:

  • Significant experience (3-5 years) as a management consultant or industry executive
  • Lean or Lean Six Sigma operations improvement experience
  • Experience of driving improvement in retail environments
  • Ability to work alongside front-line teams as well as solve complex problems

Logistics, Rate & Process

Logistics:  Starting 19th June for initial six or seven weeks. There may be the potential to extend for a further two to three months, on similar projects elsewhere in the same business, if the project is successful

Location: Melbourne location

Offshore and interstate candidates will only be considered if they cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Rate: Daily net rate of $1,500AUD + GST

Process: APT’s must be lodged by the time and date specified below.
