BAF® Request: MEL-FS-402-Senior Risk Analyst

Client

An existing ICG client is a significant Australian financial services provider and is looking for a Senior Risk Analyst to work with its Australian superannuation fund trustee business unit for the next 10-11 weeks.

The Role

The client seeks an experienced risk consultant to finish work already commenced on the operationalization of the client’s superannuation policies and frameworks, with a particular emphasis on the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) and Risk Management Strategy (RMS), and Conflicts of Interest Governance Framework. The risk consultant will be taking over from an existing consultant who is rolling onto another project. This is a Line 2 Risk function.

Role specifics include the following:

  • RAS refresh
  • RMS update
  • Implementing Board committee reporting
  • Operationalisation of the Trustee Framework
  • Conflicts of interest (COI)

Candidate qualities and competencies

The successful candidate must be experienced in Line 2 risk management within the superannuation industry, and must have significant experience in implementation of risk management strategies in line with APRA Prudential Standard SPS 231. The successful candidate must be capable of “hitting the road running”, have the experience, gravitas and maturity to deal with senior management and be capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Logistics, Process and Rate

Logistics: This role is based in Melbourne or, for the right candidate, Sydney, and will be for a period of 10-11 weeks commencing 1 October 2016.

Offshore and interstate candidates will only be considered if they cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

We will review all APTs and select the best 3 for an interview with the client. The client will then conduct interviews.

Rate: Final amount to be negotiated with the client, however, depending on experience and seniority, the gross daily rate (inclusive of ICG components) would be between AU$1500 and AU$1800.
