Client

A new Hong Kong NGO based ICG client is looking for a Senior training and development Consultant to identifying its training needs for 200 member staff while at the same time identifying those service providers who are in the best position to meet the training needs on a cost-effective basis.

The Role

The successful accredited professional will provide expert advice and guidance on aspects of our client’s training program.  Acting as subject matter expert the accredited professional will frame customer training needs and potential training solutions to fulfil the requirements.
Also, we are requesting our consultant to review the organisation induction and orientation program.

L&D Senior Consultant Role

The successful accredited professional will work within a client team environment.  They will interview unit heads, Director General, the union representative in Hong Kong and China as well as selected managerial staff (about 20 in total).  Interview with staff based in the PRC will be conducted by Skype or telephone.

Apply their L&D skills in guiding the creation of a training program for 200 member staff and will advise on the delivery models and sources of the recommended solutions.

The successful accredited professional will have experience in learning and development of human resources, training needs analysis, training assessment, delivery models and sourcing of training solutions.  Good engagement and workshop facilitation skills are required as well as an ability to write executive submissions and business reports.

This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to work in a training program aiming at developing the organisation capability, making a difference to the team and organisation at the critical front end of the business.

Ideally the accredited professional will have:

  • Significant experience (5-8 years) as a learning and development consultant or industry executive
  • Experience in learning programs and training design
  • Development and delivery experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in training & development planning and presentation
  • Experience in service and / or NGO
  • English, Cantonese, Putonghua-speaking and reading ability is an integral requirement for the successful completion of this project.
 Logistics, Process and Rate

Logistics:  This is a part-time role.  Hong Kong location – 3-4 weeks on site.

Offshore / Interstate candidates will only be considered if they cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

 We will review all APT’s and select the best 3. The client will then conduct interviews.

Rates: Final amount to be negotiated with the client, however, depending on the level of experience and seniority, the daily rate range for the L&D senior consultant would be between SGD2,000 and SGD2,500 gross rate.
