Client

An existing ICG client is looking to appoint a Senior Program Director on a one-year contract to lead and materially enhance its Technology Core Banking Replacement Program which is currently underway with primary responsibilities for delivery of three major streams inclusive of running the program within time, quality, resource and budget parameters, fixing existing defects, and improving performance and scalability of the new platform.

The Role

Our Client believes that the current program needs a significant uplift in the management of the technology vendor, the deliverables, governance and strong leadership to clear and resolve roadblocks whilst maintaining both a strong internal stakeholder engagement and vendor relationship.

The successful Accredited Professional will be accountable for the day to day delivery of a broad and complex program with multiple streams and projects with a multi-million dollar budget and the concurrent review, design and transition to a more effective core banking operating model.

The role reports at Executive Group Management level and will be required to regularly provide updates and recommendations to key stakeholders, including:

  • CIO
  • Group Executives and Divisional Boards
  • The Project Delivery Team, and
  • External parties and Executive

Senior Program Director

The successful professional will likely have held similar very senior roles in a large financial services organisation or in a supplier to the FS industry of systems integrations/major program management capabilities.

They will have extensive experience of IT and a referenceable track record of/proven expertise/leadership in:

  • Successful major program management,
  • Transformational organisational change management and
  • Current PMO and IT Project best practice
  • Communications and influencing skills
  • Developing and leading an engaged workforce
  • Experience in large, complex customer and account migrations

Logistics, Rate & Process

Logistics: Starting in January 2017 on a twelve-month contract.

Location: Combination of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane with weekly travel.

Rate: Final amount to be negotiated with the client, however, depending on level of experience and seniority, the daily gross rate range for the Senior Program Director would be between $2,250 and $2,750.
