Client

A focused mid-sized strategy consulting firm is seeking the services of consultants and senior consultants (up to Project Leader) to support with the execution of a major financial analysis and cost allocation project.

The Role

The objective is to work alongside existing consultants from the firm to deliver analysis of the current cost base, developing advanced cost-allocation methods in consultation with the client, and assist with the presentation of these analyses through both presentation formats and also interactive dashboards.

Consultants will work with the existing firm-team to interview the client to develop business rules, interrogate existing cost data, model these according to business rules, and assist in iterations that allocate these costs and help the client organization understand broad cost allocations in order to inform strategic decision making.

Senior consultants will be responsible for guiding this work, influencing senior stakeholders,assisting with client liaison, and directly assisting with the work where needed.

The successful professional(s) will have good experience in cost and/or financial analysis, working in a team based environment, and extensive consultation efforts.

Ideally the Consultant will have significant experience as follows:

  • Working in large institutions on strategy projects and financially oriented analysis projects
  • Reading and interpreting General Ledger, P&L, and Workforce Resource Models
  • Understanding the development of financial concepts
  • Strong grasp of the management of data and information flows

Some experience with dashboard development in a web-based environment is preferred but is not mandatory.

Similarly, experience in Higher Education or Education is highly desirable but is not mandatory.

The Senior consultant would have access to the same range of skills but is able to take on a leadership role within a team in delivering these outcomes.

Across both roles strong understanding of the consulting process is mandatory.

Logistics, Process and Rate

Logistics: Sydney location; Starting immediately for initial 1 month burst with a likely follow on of between 2 and 4 months.

Offshore candidates would not be considered.

Interstate candidates may apply, but Sydney candidates are strongly preferred.

Process: APT’s must be lodged by the time and date specified below.

We will review all APT’s and select the best 3 for the client. The client or ICG Account Manager will then conduct interviews and advise of further process.

Rates: Final amount to be negotiated with the firm, however, depending on level of experience and seniority:

The net amount paid to the Consultant – range of $800 to $1200 per day

The net amount paid to the Senior Consultant – range of $1000 to $1400 per day

Travel costs for consultants travelling from other States will be considered, however, these will be part of an overall discussion on rate, and will also be subject to a cap, in line with the current client agreement.
