This is a BAF® Best Accredited Professional Forward request. ICG is seeking interested and available professionals to respond to a service request.

Client

A new ICG client is looking for a General Insurance Consultant to provide analysis and insight into general insurance challenger brand growth, their impact on the market and the response of incumbent insurers.

The Role

The successful accredited professional will be accountable for structuring and turning prior research undertaken by the client into challenger brands, complimented by additional research and industry perspectives, into a synthesized knowledge pack, with clearly articulated insights and implications, to support the formulation of an appropriate strategic response.

General Insurance Consultant

The client is interested in gaining a deeper understanding of:

  • The ‘go to market’ and operating model approaches of the main general insurance challenger brands, with specific focus on Youi;
  • Challenger brand developments in terms of channels, key drivers of customer take-up, growth trends and performance drivers;
  • The impact of challenger brands on the overall general insurance market; and
  • The response of the incumbent general insurers to the challenger brands.

The successful professional will have deep knowledge of the general insurance industry, including the main challenger brands (specifically Youi).

Ideally, the accredited professional will have significant experience including:

  • 5+ years as a management consultant
  • General insurance
  • Outstanding communication capabilities (oral and written)

 Logistics, Process and Rate

Logistics:

Sydney location; immediate start. The winning professional is expected to participate in an initial face to face briefing with the client. They are then expected to prepare a draft within one week (sooner if possible) and attend a briefing and feedback meeting in order to complete any gaps.

The final deliverable will comprise of a comprehensive and insightful PowerPoint knowledge pack (50-60 slides) with well thought through insights and the potential implications thereof plus a summary version suitable for Board level.

Offshore and interstate candidates will only be considered if they cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Process: APT’s must be lodged by the time and date specified below.

We will review all APT’s and select the best 3 for the client. The client will then conduct interviews.

Rates: Initial 5-day engagement (including initial client briefing and review meetings): $10,000 NET (plus GST) fixed price engagement. Potential for follow-on work (at the client’s discretion).
