Giant Steps Bike Ride

An ICG Affiliate is a key participant in the annual Giant Steps Bike Ride. ICG was proud to support this Affiliate with a double contribution for cycling 282km over 3 days in northern Tasmania. The ride raised important funds to facilitate the ongoing work of Giants Steps in “educating children and families experiencing autism, to alleviate associated stress and to guide in the achievement of measurable results”.

Giant Steps contributes to the understanding of autism through research and publications. Through greater understanding, come steps to positive change and improvement in government legislation and/or services.
Through research, Giant Steps seeks to develop new and validated approaches to education and therapy for individuals on the spectrum. Giant Steps fosters collaboration between scientists and other allied health professionals at leading Australian institutions, including the University of Sydney and Macquarie University.

Giant Steps has a multifaceted approach to the provision of services to children with autism and their families, whilst spreading a culture of caring and professional excellence through the broader community.
